The Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome (Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut Rome, KNIR) is a Dutch academic institute outside the Netherlands, founded in 1904. It focuses on research and interdisciplinary education in the humanities. The collection of its library pertains chiefly to the archaeology, history, and art history of Rome and of Italy.
